Nanda is a wealthy and arrogant man living with his two sons Ramesh and Ravi. Ramesh one day tells his father that he is in love with a poor girl named Seema and would like to marry her. Nanda warns him that is he marries her, he will not get any share of his property. Ramesh is not affected by this and leaves his father’s home. Ravi is lied to that his brother is away on business and is shocked to find out the truth. He tries to
convince his father about Ramesh but he is adamant on his decision. Ravi then sets off in search of his brother. Soon Ravi learns that Ramesh and Seema are no longer alive and had given birth to a girl, left back with his sister Kanchan. Ravi goes to meet Kanchan and soon both of them fall in love. She is however horrified to learn that Ravi is Ramesh’s brother and that she would also be rejected by his father. The film is
directed and produced by Nasir Hussain. The music is composed by R D Burman. The star cast includes Rishi Kapoor, Padmini Kolhapure, Amjad Khan, Kader Khan, Shreeram Lagu, Yogitabali Bali and Neelam Mehra.
