Dilsher, played by Vicky Kaushal is a young man from Gurdaspur, Punjab. His father sings at gurudwaras, but after his death, Dilsher develops a fear of music and thus resulting in speech impairment. He begins to stammer. While being bullied by his classmates in school me meets Gurcharan Sikand who tells him to conquer his fears and fight back. He gives him his pen to write his own destiny. Dilsher later gets a job at a music show, and there he meets Amira, played by Sara Jane Dias.
He befriends Tulsi Ram and starts working at a project owned by Gurcharan. Later he befriends Surya, Gurcharan’s son and they both go to a night club where they meet Amira. They have a few drinks and while leaving Dilsher is attacked by Surya’s men to leave the place and go back to his hometown. Surya is jealous that his father has more regard for Dilsher than him. Gurcharan’s wife, Mandy, tells him to send Dilsher back but he refuses. Again Dilsher is attacked by Surya’s goons.
Later it is revealed that the goons sent the second time were by Gurcharan and not by Surya. He also comes to know that Surya is not his biological son. He decides to leave his job and go back to Gurdaspur. He is then reunited with Amira. The movie is directed by Mozez Singh and produced by Guneet Monga, Shaan Vyaas and Mozez Singh.
