The film has won many international accolades and now there are reports of Indian films and web series being included in the 73rd Berlin International Film Festival. This film festival is considered to be one of the largest film festivals in the world.
Indian web series are participating in the festival for the first time. The Karisma Kapoor starrer web series will be screened at the Berlinale series Market at the Brown Festival. Sharing this information through social media, Karishma said that Brown has been selected among 16 titles from five continents. It is a neo-noir thriller series. Apart from this, Sonakshi Sinha's 'Dahaad' is also going to the Berlinale section. The series will be premiered here. Directed by Reema Kagti and Ruchika Oberoi, the series is produced by Excel Media & Entertainment and Tiger Baby. It is an eight-episode crime drama series set in a small town in Rajasthan.
Marathi film Ghaat will premiere at the 73rd Berlin International Film Festival. Jitendra Joshi played the lead role in the ambush directed by Chhatrapal Ninawane. It is a slow-paced thriller, shot in Naxal-infested jungles. The Aatma Pamphlet produced by Aanand L. Rai, Bhushan Kumar, and Zee Studios will be showcased in the international competition section. The film is written by National Film Award winner Paresh Mokashi and directed by Ashish Bende.
The Berlin International Film Festival is commonly referred to as Berlinale. This 10-day film festival is held every year in the city of Berlin, Germany. This time the festival is being organized from 16-26 February. The festival will open on February 16 with the English film She Came to Me.
