The film starts with Subhedar Tahnaji Malusare going to Raigad with an invitation to his Son Raiba’s wedding. He saw Jijabai Aausaheb and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj there, who inspired him with tales of their struggle for Swarajya (self-rule). Fueled by their determination, he prepared for the upcoming mission to conquer the Kondana Fort.
With a sword raised high, Tanhaji took an oath to conquer the fort first and then think about his Son Raiba’s wedding. This pledge became a shining example of unwavering loyalty and devotion, touching the hearts of every Shivaji admirer.
The renowned artist Deenanath Dalal immortalised this incident through his beautiful paintings, which have been a part of our history textbooks since childhood. Many books on Shivaji's era include these paintings. Inspired by these powerful images, the upcoming film 'Subhedar' will bring this historical story to life on the big screen.
