Actors Junaid Khan and Khushi Kapoor who made their debut with OTT releases 'Maharaj' and 'The Archies on Netflix, are all set to be seen in their theatrical debut  'Loveyapa' alongside Ashutosh Rana and Kiku Sharda and a vast ensemble cast.

Aamir Khan came to support his son Junaid and Khushi to launch its trailer at the grand Excelsior Cinemas. Coincidentally he happened to launch his own debut film 'Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak' opposite Juhi Chawla in the same theatre.

The trailer opens with Junaid trying to convince Khushi’s father played by Ashutosh Rana, to marriage, but Ashutosh puts a strange proposition in front of the two, to exchange their phones before marrying, and then decide. The phone swapping leads to both discovering each other's secrets which creates havoc. The films aim to deal with the new age romance absolutely dependent on the mobile phones and social media.

Aamir Khan began paying a heartfelt tribute to Sridevi saying, 'I am the biggest fan of her and always wanted to work with her, but it's my biggest regret that I never got a chance to work with her.'

He added that when he saw Khushi in the film, he felt he was watching Sridevi once again. He told Khushi, 'I'm sure wherever Sridevi is today, she must be looking at you with a lot of pride and blessings and I bless you for the beginning of your career.'

Throwing light on Junaid's career choices Aamir said, ' It's a very emotional moment for me having completed almost 36 years in the industry, and today Junaid is taking his first steps in the industry. I feel so proud and happy about how he is conducting himself and has chosen his films and career path. I wish Junaid and Khushi all the luck for their theatrical debut and the beginning of their film career.

Remembering Ashutosh Rana in Gulam, who was present at the occasion, Aamir said, ' I met him almost 22 years after we did Gulam together. I have always had so much fondness for him always.'

Aamir Khan spoke about the subject of the film which is very unique and very entertaining story that deals with our dependency on our mobile phones. We all have mobile phones, and private lives, and want to live good lives and have happy relationships and no one to break our trust, but do we offer the same to others, that's what the film helps you to ponder over!

Junaid Khan responding to what made him choose 'Loveyapa' and this role over the many scripts he must be receiving said, 'I don't get too many scripts. After doing Maharaj I haven't worked for the last two years. But, at the beginning of your career, if you get to work in a good film and with good people, it is a big parameter to choose the film. It's a character which I am very far off in real life and normally I am not a mobile user that often and hardly respond to messages even, so that interested me.'

Khushi Kapoor shared about how was it working with Junaid in the film and said, 'I think both of us are introverts and we both were on the same page. We like to practice a scene than to go with our impulse.'

Khushi Kapoor was asked about her late mother Sridevi. She got emotional and was seen teary-eyed, she declined the question with grace.

Directed by Advait Chandan and produced by Kalpathi S. Aghoram, Kalpathi S. Ganesh, Kalpathi S. Suresh and Pradeep Ranganathan, the film Loveyapa is set to be released in theatres on February 7.
