Death is the last truth of this world' Anupam Kher's words shook the whole country this morning when he reported that Satish Kaushik is no more with us. Everyone was shocked, and could not believe that a laughing person would suddenly leave our midst like this. But death is the ultimate truth.

Very few people know about Satish Kaushik, who made everyone laugh, that he was battling a very deep sorrow. The death of his son Sanu in the year 1990 drowned him in an ocean of sorrow. To get rid of this grief, he started working more and more. In the year 2012, he told his fans on social media that a daughter was born in his house. Satish ji wrote on Twitter- 'The birth of our daughter marks the end of our long and painful wait for a child.'

Satish Kaushik was born on 13 April 1956 in Mahendragarh, Haryana. He did his early studies at a school in Karol Bagh and then graduated in 1972 from Koremal College of Delhi University. His passion for acting took him to the National School of Drama. Before entering Bollywood, he was a seasoned theater artist. He started his career as an assistant director in the 1983 film Masoom. After this, he got a chance to try his hand at direction as well as acting in the cult film Jaane Bhi Yaaron. Satish Kaushik was the director of 'Roop Ki Rani Choron Ka Raja'. In his long career, he must have worked in around 100 films.

He got recognition as an actor from Mr. India in 1987, after which he started getting more comedy roles. In the film industry, he is also known for his liveliness and friendship. Satish Kaushik also won the Filmfare Award for Best Comedian twice for the films Ram-Lakhan' and 'Saajan Chale Sasural'. He is survived by his daughter Vanshika and wife Shashi Kaushik.
