Director Rakesh Roshan opens up in the web series 'The Roshans' streaming on Netflix, how he had the burning desire to showcase the musical legacy of his Roshan Lal Nagarth, since his songs were missing from many music compilations. 


He shares that It was seven years ago when he found an old transistor, which had old songs of many renowned musicians. He told, " that there were 5,000 to 10,000 songs, songs of all music directors and actors. I thought of listening to my father’s songs but I couldn't find any of him. I was amazed that there were names of all the music directors but not of my father."I felt very sad that he had done such great work.I was feeling restless and disturbed," the filmmaker


 The Docu-series "The Roshans, celebrates the legacy of composer Roshan Lal Nagarth who was an ace composer of his times. He made many iconic compositions with iconic singers like Mohammad Rafi, Mukesh, and Talat Mahmood. 


The series also highlights the contributions of his entire family including his son Rakesh Roshan as an Actor, Director and Music Composer Rajesh Roshan and his grandson, actor Hrithik Roshan to the film industry.
