Nukkad actor Sameer Khakhar has passed away. He was best known for his role in the show. He was 71. He was admitted to the MM Hospital in Borivali due to respiratory and other health issues, where he passed away. Today at 10:30 a.m., his funeral will take place at the Babhai Naka Crematorium in Borivali. Ganesh, the brother of Sameer Khakhar, told, "He experienced some respiratory issues yesterday morning, we called the doctor home and he asked to get him admitted." He was therefore transported to the hospital and placed in the intensive care unit. After that, he had multiple organ failure, and he collapsed today at 4.30 a.m. His wife is his surviving member.
The actor had a nearly four-decade career that included appearances in a variety of mediums and collaborations with major talents both in front of and behind the camera. He moved to the United States and began working as a Java coder after consistently working in the 1990s. When the recession hit in 2008, he moved back to India and took up acting, his first love. The actor told that he was excited to work in front of the camera again, but that his approach is a little "old-school" and that he can't "sell" himself.
The actor had stated, "After Nukkad, most people gave me roles that were similar to those in." This was in reference to the success of Kundan Shah and Saeed Akhtar Mirza's film. I understand acting because I started my character on stage and then played wonderful roles. Additionally, no artist with a sound mind would agree to perform the same thing repeatedly. Additionally, Saeed Mirza meticulously created Khopdi as a character. The team had given it such tender care, and it was very different and humane. While everybody needed to involve me as Khopdi, I had chosen to not obliterate the person."
Manorajan, Cirkus, Naya Nukkad, Shrimaan Shrimati, and Adaalat were among Khakhar's other roles. In more recent times, he appeared in supporting roles in Serious Men, Sunflower, and Farzi on Prime Video, all directed by Sudhir Mishra and available on Netflix.
