Popular Marathi actor Pushkar Jog and filmmaker-actor Mahesh Manjrekar are all set to collaborate on a big project. They were last seen together in Bigg Boss Marathi season 1 three years back, where Jog was a finalist and the filmmaker was the host. This time the two well known celebs will be seen together in a movie which is slated to be a thriller. The film is titled Lanka and also stars Medha Manjrekar. The film is directed by Jeet Ashok.

Lanka is reportedly based on high profile cyber crime and corporate banking. Speaking about the urban thriller Mahesh said, “It’s unlike any other Marathi film in this genre. When I say the film is different from other projects that I’ve done, I genuinely mean it. The script is strong and that’s what got me on board. Pushkar and I have known each other for many years and I would have done the project for him anyway, but to get such a good role is what got me on board first.” Having mutual admiration for the actor Pushkar said, “I have been a huge fan of Mahesh sir forever. To get a chance to work with him was a dream I had harboured for quite some time now and I am happy that Jeet could come up with something that gave me this opportunity.”
