Bollywood actress Fatima Sana Shaikh was last seen in the series Modern Love on Amazon Prime Video. Her performance as a Kashmiri girl blew the critics away. The talented Dangal actress is now gearing up for a role of a lifetime in the upcoming film Sam Bahadur. She will be essaying the role of late Indian Prime Minster Indira Gandhi in the film, while Vicky Kaushal will essay the titular role in the film. 

Fatima said that she was intrigued by the role and was signed in after one look test. The actress however confesses that she agreed to do the film only because of director Meghna Gulzar. The actress is a huge fan of the filmmaker after her films like Raazi and Chhapaak. Shaikh has watched numerous interviews and footage of Former PM Indira Gandhi to learn her mannerisms and body language. Sam Bahadur is the biopic of Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw and also stars Sanya Malhotra

Apart from Sam Bahadur, Fatima will also be seen in Taapsee Pannu’s Dhak Dhak co-starring Ratna Pathak Shah, Dia Mirza and Sanjana Sanghi.
