After nearly 2 long decades Ajay Devgn will be reuniting with his Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam director Sanjay Leela Bhansali in the upcoming film Gangubai Kathiawadi. The Tanhaji actor will essay the role of Don Karim Lala in the film and shared his first look on social media. He can be seen in all his swagger wearing a blazer over a white shirt and off-white trousers. He also sports sunglasses and a cap. The actor captioned the poster, “Apni pehchaan se chaar chaand lagane, aa rahe hai hum (I am coming to add to the glory with my identity). Trailer out tomorrow.” 

Alia Bhatt who plays the titular role in the film recently shared another of her looks from the film and captioned it, “Aa Rahi Hai Gangu. Trailer out on 4th February…” Meanwhile Ajay will be seen with Alia once again in S S Rajamouli’s RRR. Gangubai Kathiawadi is set to premiere at the 72nd Berlin International Film Festival. Speaking on the topic Bhansali had previously said, “The story of Gangubai Kathiawadi has been very close to my heart and me and my team have given it all to make this dream possible. We take pride and honour in showcasing our film at the prestigious Berlin International Film Festival.” The film is based on one of the chapters of author Hussain Zaidi's book Mafia Queens of Mumbai and will release theatrically on 25th February 2022.
