Bollywood star Shahid Kapoor has opened new avenues in the film industry post his hit film Kabir Singh. The actor who is already doing a sports film Jersey and 2 web based projects has no intention to stop anytime soon. The Jab We Met actor will be seen in filmmaker Ali Abbas Zafar’s digital only film soon. Reportedly the film is an Indian adaptation of the 2011 French hit action thriller Nuit Blanche (Sleepless Nights) The film’s story revolves around a cop who tries to save his daughter kidnapped by drug lords. All the events take place in one night. 

The makers have kept the Indian sensibilities in mind while writing the screenplay. Shahid will most likely play the cop in the yet to be titled film of Zafar. A top Bollywood actress is being considered to play the female lead, but there is no official announcement for the same. Shahid also has Raj & DK’s web series and the mythological film Karna to look forward to in the coming months.
