The moment we all have been waiting for is finally here! Gangubai Kathiawadi will release in cinema halls soon. The anticipation for the film has been immense due to two reasons mainly. First it is a Sanjay Leela Bhansali directorial and second we will see actress Alia Bhatt in a totally different and fierce avatar under his direction for the first time. From the very first time the film’s poster was out, it created a lot of buzz in media, film and social media circles. With the trailer having already impressed one and all, fans are now ready to see the real and whole picture.

Yes, Gangubai Kathiawadi will finally release in theatres on 6th January 2022. The film was to release in July this year but was postponed due to post production delay. The lead actress Alia took to her social media page to share the news too and wrote, “Bringing to You a part of my heart & soul, #gangubaikathiawadi releasing in cinemas near you on 6th January 2022. The film also stars Vijay Raaz, Indira Tiwari and Seema Pahwa. It will also have an extended cameo by Ajay Devgn who last worked with SLB in Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam. The film is reportedly based loosely on S. Hussain Zaidi’s book Mafia Queens of Mumbai. The film will mark the Bollywood debut of television actor and dancer Shantanu Maheshwari.
