Known for his philanthropy, humility and witty sense of humor, actor, author, singer Amitabh Bachchan shared an interesting anecdote about his surname to sociologist Bindeshwar Pathak on his reality show Kaun Banega Crorepati. The Badla actor said although his original family name was Shrivastav, his dad didn’t believe in it and during his Kindergarten admission wrote his surname as Bachchan and he has used it ever since. The veteran when asked about his religion has always said he is an Indian and doesn’t believe in belonging to any one religion, neither did his father Harivansh Rai Bachchan.

 

The superstar’s humble and compassionate attitude has won him fans all over the world. Being a host of the reality TV show Kaun Banega Crorepati has brought the 77 year old superstar closer to his fans as he directly interacts with those on the hot seat. The actor also shared an interesting fact that his family has a tradition on holi of putting colors on the feet of the eldest and respected family members. His father even put colors on the feet of the person who cleaned the toilets before beginning the Holi celebrations.

 

The veteran actor meanwhile has a huge line of releases this year and on 2020, which include Ayushmann Khurrana starrer Gulabo Sitabo, Emraan Hashmi starrer Chehre and Chiranjeevi starrer Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy.
