Anupam Kher has announced his new film, which will be a remake of the Odia film, while teaching acting skills to the youth in the Performing for Screening and Theater Master Class on the stage of his International Film Festival, 2022. Anupam Kher announced his film at the International Film Festival of India by sharing the stage with the Odia team's film and said that he would make a Hindi remake of an Odia film. Whose title will be 'Pratiksha' Which will be based on the complicated relationship between father and son.

The story of this film will be inspired by a short story by Gaur Hari Das. This will be based on Sanjay, a boy from a middle-class family, who is looking for a government job a few months before his father's retirement. So that he can repay his family's debt and get his father's incurable disease treated. At the same time, apart from all this, Sanjay comes to know about the compassionate appointment scheme started by the government, in which if a family member dies while doing a government job, then a family member gets a job and does not get a chance. Because of this, Sanjay waits for his father's death. Anupam Kher will be seen in the role of a helpless father in this touching story film 'Pratiksha'. While Dipanvita Dashmopatra is going to be seen in the role of Sanjay. About this he said, "it is a big moment for me, because it will be my first film as a lead actor".  This film is going to be directed by Anupam Patnaik.
