The Television show Meet on Zee TV has risen in popularity and viewership in recent times with its interesting storyline and powerful performances. The show depicts the story of Meet Hooda who is determined to break the age old shackles of society against gender biases and other unfair behaviour. 

While the drama in Meet continues to win the hearts of viewers, a new face will be joining the cast. Actress Asmita Sharma will be seen as Barfi Devi in the show playing the role of Deep’s (Ashutosh Semwal) mother. Speaking about her role Asmita said, “I have always been keen on playing different kinds of characters throughout my career. In Meet, I am playing a strong-willed and cunning Haryanvi woman, who is very dominating and greedy in nature. With Meet being my first show with Zee TV, I am really ecstatic about it and the cast of the show welcomed me with open arms. Shooting with them has been really fun so far and I just hope that the audience likes the upcoming twist as well as my performance.”

Meet airs on Zee TV Monday to Saturday, at 7.30 pm.
