Bollywood actor Ayushmann Khurrana will be seen in an out and out action film for the first time in his career. The film he will be fighting the bad guys in, is titled ‘An Action Hero’. The makers recently unveiled an animated teaser of the film where there is a car chase. It also had the announcement that Actor Jaideep Ahlawat has been brought on board to play a crucial role in the film. Meanwhile, the film’s shoot has kicked off in London. 

An Action Hero is directed by Anirudh Iyer and will have a good balance of action and humor. Talking about the film producer Bhushan Kumar of T-series said, “It has been a long wait for us to kick off the shoot for An Action Hero. We can’t believe that the movie is already going on floors today and are excited to give it our best! The film has a fresh and quirky story and is mounted on a lavish scale.” 

An Action Hero is also produced by filmmaker Aanand L Rai who said, “This is the first time that we are experimenting with this genre and An Action Hero is going to be an unconventional entertainer. Today is a proud moment for me to watch Anirudh behind the camera, directing his own film. I have seen him grow as a director and nothing makes me happier than watching him own this film completely! We began the muhurat shoot with a lot of enthusiasm today and I’m certain the energy will translate on-screen too.” Ayushmann meanwhile also has Doctor G and Anek in his kitty.
