Things are looking up for Punjabi cinema as a number of films are alls et to hit the big screens. After Gippy Grewal’s ‘Phatte Dinde Chakk Punjabi’ set to release in February 2022, another of his movie will be seeing the light of day. We are talking about the upcoming film Maa. The film also stars Babbal Rai, Aarushi Sharma, and Bollywood actress Divya Dutta in leading roles. Actor Babbal who will be essaying the role of a sports man in the film announced the release date of the film with an interesting new poster on his social media page and wrote, “On Mother’s Day 2022, bringing a special gift for all the mothers #Maa Worldwide Releasing On 6th May 2022.”

Maa is directed by Baljit Singh Deo and produced by Gippy Grewal. Further, the movie has been written by Rana Ranbir. The film was previously scheduled to release on 8th May 2020 but due to the covid situation that was postponed indefinitely. Babbal Rai meanwhile will also be seen in the film titled ‘Posti’, the release date of the same is yet to be revealed.
