Body shaming affects people of all genders, and it's deeply hurtful. Unsolicited comments and advice about one's body can damageself-esteem and mental well-being. To address this issue, we should promote body positivity and respect for all body types. Everyone deserves kindness and empathy, regardless of their looks. Let's work towards a society that eradicates body shaming and celebrates the diversity of human beauty.”
She firthure added "We, as a society and nation, unavoidably look at the looks and appearance of a person, she says, adding, “It is unfortunate that appearance plays such a significant role in our society. Prejudice based on skin colour persists, affecting individuals in schools, colleges, workplaces, and entertainment. Unfair treatment comes from ingrained prejudices, and it gets stronger because of what we see in the media and learn from society. It's important to change these norms, include everyone, and appreciate diversity. Seeing the worth of a person beyond their looks is a big step towards a fairer and kinder society,”
In her personal life she has not experienced body shaming but as per her opinion she stands against it and she is deeply affected by people who body shames others. “I don't have personal experiences or feelings, but I'm aware that discrimination based on appearance is a widespread issue. It occurs in various environments, affecting people deeply. My viewpoint is that such bias is harmful and unjust. It's important to challenge these norms and promote inclusivity to create a fairer and more compassionate society for everyone,” Sana says.
Sana also talked about solution on body shaming, “The solution lies in fostering education and awareness about diversity and inclusion. Encouraging open conversations, implementing anti-bias training, and promoting diverse representation in media can help challenge these patterns. It's also important to have rules that say it's not okay to treat someone unfairly because of their appearance. It's a team effort to create a more accepting and fairer society for everyone. It's something we all need to work on together to make the world better for everyone.”
