Apne released in 2007 and the sports drama was a surprise hit. It featured the Deol family along with Shilpa Shetty Kundra and Katrina Kaif in leading roles. Filmmaker Anil Sharma is all set to bring us the sequel of the film. The film will bring together the father sons collaboration once again of Dharmendra, Sunny and Bobby Deol. The film will also star Sunny’s son Karan Deol. Apne 2 will go on floors next year in March and most likely be shot in London. 

Speaking about the film, producer Deepak Mukut said, “The film has to be shot across London. Since things have only now begun to open up the world over, director Anil Sharma and I thought it would be best to push the project by a few months, and shoot when the situation is more conducive. Another factor influencing this decision was Karan's prep for the movie, he has to be trained in boxing. However, the US-based boxer, who was roped in for his training, has been unable to fly down to India.” Anil Sharma will next be working on a sequel to Gadar Ek Prem Katha with Sunny and Ameesha Patel.
