Diljit Dosanjh creates another Milestone with a Sold Out Show in Canada:
Diljit Dosanjh has already created history at Coachella and appearing on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon in the US, he has yet again achieved the same milestone in Canada by becoming the first Punjabi artist to fill up the venue at his concert tour in Canada. The Rogers Centre was fully sold out with the singer’s latest concert in Canada’s creating another stepping event. The retractable roof stadium in Toronto can accommodate as many as 49,286 people. On Monday, Both the Punjabi singer-actor as well as Canada’s Prime Minister Justin Trudeau shared photos of the concert. According to the posts, Canada’s Prime Minister made a surprise visit to Diljit Dosanjh ahead of his concert. in the video shared by Diljit, He and the PM can be seen greeting each other with folded hands followed by a tight hug. Soon, the duo was seen posing with Diljit’s entire team, eventually shaking hands with them all.
The same video also has Diljit’s team saying Diljit’s hook line, ‘Punjabi Aa gaye oye (Punjabis are here). They were also seen cheering for the duo. Justin Trudeau too shared a set of photos along with the singer on his Instagram handle. The first photo shows the PM and Diljit greet each other. The second photo features Justin greeting Diljit’s team. In the third picture, the duo can be seen involved in a light-hearted conversation.
Sharing the pictures, Justin wrote, Stopped by the Rogers Centre to wish @diljitdosanjh good luck before his show. Canada is a great country — one where a guy from Punjab can make history and sell out stadiums. Diversity isn’t just our strength. It’s a super power.
