The South superstar Chiranjeevi remembers how he was extremely panicky to approach Amitabh Bachchan for his magnum opus Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy. He instead when to Big B’s wife Jaya Bhaduri Bachchan and told her he would like to speak with him, so she said just go speak to him, but he was still nervous. Jaya Bhaduri Bachchan smiled and simply told him to message Amitabh. On receiving his message about working for a 5 days character, the Badla actor immediately replied saying he will do it. Chiranjeevi is extremely humbled by the Bollywood superstars attitude.

The only thing that Amitabh Bachchan asked about his role is if he will fit the role well. Chiranjeevi  simple said that he couldn’t imagine any other doing it except him and the rest is history. The latter plays the titular role as a Kurnool based freedom fighter in Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy, while the former plays the role of his mentor Guru Gosayi Venkanna. The film is dubbed in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada.
