On Friday 2nd Feb, Poonam Pandey’s social media team shared a statement informing her about her death after suffering cervical cancer. This whole incident took an ugly turn when the actress shared a video of herself saying that ‘she is alive.’ She shared that the reason behind this whole stunt was to draw attention towards awareness of cervical cancer.

No one in the film industry stoops to such levels for PR.’ They further added, ‘Poonam Pandey's manager had confirmed the False News, so there should be an FIR against Poonam Pandey and her manager to prevent anyone exploiting their own death news for personal gains (PR). The entire Indian film industry, along with the entire nation, paid tribute.’
