The couple got married in 2018 at Italy's Lake Como after being in a relationship for six years. They celebrated their 5th wedding anniversary in 2023.

Deepika expressed how she and Ranveer hope to brought up their children by teaching the same values her parents have raised her with. She also talked about how her parents Prakash Padukone and Ujjala Padukone raised her sister Anisha Padukone.

While talking about her parents she took a moment to praise her parents saying, 'When I meet the people I have grown up with — my aunts, uncles, family friends — they always mention how I haven’t changed one bit. That says a lot about our upbringing... In this industry, it’s easy to get carried away by fame and money. But no one treats me like a celebrity at home. I am a daughter and a sister first. I don’t want that to change. My family keeps me grounded and Ranveer and I hope to inculcate the same values in our children.'

After getting asked about her want to become a mother Deepika said it's something she looks forward to. She also said how much she and Ranveer love kids and they will start their own family soon.
Talking about Deepika's workfront she will be seen in the sci-fi action film Kalki 2898 AD along with Prabhas. Right now she is busy promoting her upcoming movie Fighter starring her and Hrithik Roshan which will be out in theaters on 25 January.
