Actor Devendra Gaikwad agreed to change the release date of his debut directorial  venture 'Chowk' to avoid clashing with two historical films 'Baloch' and 'Ravrambha', which were slated to release on May 5 respectively. And is releasing on 12th May.

The film has set a great precedent in the Marathi film industry by postponing its release date to avoid competition among Marathi films. This is a constructive step taken to ensure that all Marathi films find an audience.

Director Devendra Arun Gaikwad, producer Dilip Lalasaheb Patil and the entire team of 'Chowk' decided to advance the release date of their film, which is slated to release on May 19.

Director, Devendra Gaikwad said, 'Our friends' films 'Baloch' and 'Ravrambha' are releasing in May. In order to get a good response to these films, the date of the 'Chowk' film has been changed from May 12 to May 19. So everyone should go and see this movie in theatres on May 19!'

The Film stars Kiran Gaikwad, Snehal Tarde, Suresh Vishwakarma, Sanskriti Balgude, Akshay Tanksale, Shubhankar Ekbote, Sunil Abhyankar and Anjali Joglekar in pivotal roles.
