‘Filmi Shortfest 2023’ an initiative by Indian Film History and Fimi Jobs is coming to an end. This short film competition was launched on 12th June 2023 and was accepting entries from all over India for two months. After getting flooded with the entries organizers decided to close the entries on 10th August. 

The vision this competition held has been successfully made into reality over the last two months. Aspiring filmmakers who have passion and the ability to make thought-provoking, innovative and visionary short films became a prominent part of this competition. 

The massive response from filmmakers from Pan India made the process of shortlisting the films more crucial. All the talented filmmakers who submitted their short films at Filmi Shortfest had the potential to qualify as each short film was well-made and highly creative. After struggling with making decisions the judging panel finalised 22 short films to move forward for the second level.

On 22nd August 2023, the second level of the competition took place in Andheri, Mumbai. The screening of the shortlisted 22 short films was held in the presence of a judging panel and a few cinephiles in a mini preview theatre. All shortlisted films were patiently watched by everyone present for the screening. Afterwards, a discussion panel was held with judges. The judging panel took the final decision on the same day which will be revealed on the final day of the competition.

The final day of Filmi Shortfest 2023 is set to be held on 25th August 2023 at Bandra, Mumbai. This event will celebrate the upcoming generation of filmmakers.
