As the film’s release date is nearing, the excitement for Sardar Udham is also going up. While the lead actor Vicky Kaushal recently shared a still from the movie where he is playing the titular role, he has now introduced the iconic character of Shaheed Bhagat Singh. The latter will be essayed by actor Amol Parashar. Sharing a still with them both in the frame the Uri actor captioned it, “My guru, my friend, my brother… Mera Bhagatya! Presenting @amolparashar as Shaheed Bhagat Singh. Glad we played this friendship Amol.”

Sardar Udham tells us the gripping story of revolutionary freedom fighter Sardar Udham Singh, directed by Shoojit Sircar who has previously helmed films like Vicky Donor and Piku. The film will release in 240 countries including India on the Dussehra weekend. Talking about the film and his character Kaushal had recently said, “When you watch the film, you’ll come to know that it’s much more than just revenge, hatred and anger. There’s so much more to Sardar Udham Singh as a character. It’s never hard to express an emotion, but it takes a bit of a task to reach the truth of it, especially when you’re portraying such a character. There were moments during the filming of ‘Sardar Udham’ where I really required a bit of introspection and imagination.”
