The National Film Awards are most looked forward to as it truly honours the best of best in Indian cinema. It is a validation and immense recognition for the efforts and dedication of the filmmakers and artists who give it their all. This year’s 67th National Film Awards was held on 25th October 2021 and the recipients received their honours from the Vice President of India, Mr Venkaiah Naidu in Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi. All the winners came in their ethnic best to impress! 

 

While Kangana Ranaut won the National Award for being the Best Actress for Manikarnika and Panga, Manoj Bajpayee took home the award for the Best Actor for Bhonsle. The other big wins in Hindi cinema included Sanjay Puran Singh Chauhan won best director for Bahattar Hoorain, Pallavi Joshi won best supporting actress and Vivek Agnihotri for The Tashkent Files

 

The late Sushant Singh Rajput starrer Chhichhore won the best film and Kastoori won the best children’s film. Best feature film award went to Chhoriyan Chhoron Se Kam Nahi Hoti, B Praak won best male playback singer for Kesari, while best music direction was won by Bishakhjyoti. Best editing went to Arjun Gourisaria for Shut Up Sona, best cinematography was won by Sonsi. Other films included Best short fiction film-Custody Best film on social issues-Holy Rights, Ladli Best Environment Film-The Stork Saviours Best Promotional Film- The Shower
Best Non-feature film-An Engineered Dream.
