Popular Marathi actor Jitendra Joshi is making his debut as a producer with the upcoming film Godavari. The first look poster of the film generated quite a stir among fans and they are eagerly awaiting its release. However due to the rising Covid-19 cases in Maharashtra, the Choricha Mamla actor has thus decided to postpone its release. The film was earlier scheduled for a 1st May 2021 release but now the new date is yet to be shared. 

Godavari stars Neena Kulkarni, Gauri Nalawade, and Sakhi Gokhale in leading roles. Joshi took to his social media page and wrote, “Owing to the steep rise in the COVID cases in Maharashtra and taking in view the fact that our film ‘Godavari’ has been designed as a theatrical experience we as producers have decided to postpone the film until a time when the audiences can go into cinema halls without any extreme restrictions.”
