The iconic filmmaker Hansal Mehta and the passionate actor Pratik Gandhi have been highly anticipated to support the new and aspiring talent in the industry.
Hansal Mehta, along with Pratik Gandhi, recently visited the second edition of the Cinevesture International Film Festival (CIFF), wherein they both willingly agreed that experimenting on new and aspiring talents is a bit risky; still, if it ages well, it brings in various perks and benefits, but sadly the industry has closed the doors for that in the name of safety.
While expressing his concern, he said, 'We are at a certain point where a lot of talent is present there but isn't getting a platform to showcase it because it has been choked up in the name of safety. It's a viable proof of concept that can work out. The big giants of the industry who have been getting innumerable chances somehow impact the careers of new and aspiring talents. If we start taking small risks of providing a chance to the new talent, we would suffer less but achieve more.'
Moreover, Pratik Gandhi supported Hansal's statement and said, 'We must be open in order to work with the new talents because when we tend to work with a certain set of people, it somehow restricts the newcomers from entering the industry, and this can be done only by the various producers as well as the directors.'
This film festival which started with the screening of a South Korean film, A Normal Family further went on to host various meaningful and thought-provoking sessions with different industry professionals such as Nandita Das, Honey Trehan, Nandita Das and Vikramaditya Motwane respectively.
