The classical filmmaker recently marked his presence at the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce's Best Animated Frames Awards, wherein he said that the budget shouldn't be looked upon as a limitation for the creation of cinema.

Hansal Mehta had recently attended the awards event, which was organized yesterday at Mumbai's luxurious Sofitel Hotel, where the report for the media and entertainment industry was launched. While addressing the emphasis of critical writing and its preparation, he said, 'If an individual spends most of his time writing, then there is a certain assurance that the content that he has prepared is true to the material, and its preparation and development phase are two key things to consider.'

Further, he stated the examples of his very own projects to prove his statement and made some shocking revelations about them, such as the popular web series 'Scam 1992,' which took a huge time span of more than three years of writing before its filming could happen, whereas the scripting of 'Scoop' had started even before the idea of creating the web series.

Later, he addressed the restrictions of the budget and said, 'I never feel that budget can be a restricting factor in the process of storytelling because from 2010, when I moved away from celluloid films, the medium's empowerment allowed me to tell various stories, and 'Shahid' was one of the examples of it.'
