The mythological and epic story of Ramayan has had a vast number of adaptations over the years. But now Bollywood is coming to the forefront with a magnum opus of its own adaptation that will make jaws drop. Filmmaker Madhu Mantena is planning to tell his version of the legendary story in a whopping 300 crore project. He recently bought shares of the production house Phantom Films from his partners Anurag Kashyap, Vikramaditya Motwane and Vikas Bahl has given the directing job to Nitesh Tiwari who previously directed the Aamir Khan starrer Dangal. 


Now there are reports that Bollywood stars Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone are being considered for the roles of Ram and Sita respectively for Ramayan. Mantena has left no stones unturned to research the subject at length. It will be one of the biggest movies made in Bollywood history on the epic story.
