Veteran actor K D Chandran, father of Bollywood and TV actress Sudha Chandran passed away on Sunday following a massive cardiac arrest. He was suffering from Dementia and was admitted in Criti Care hospital in Juhu. He was 86 years old and breathed his last on Sunday morning. The actor was known for his performances in films like Hum Hain Rahi Pyaar Ke, Jab Pyar Kisise Hota Hai, China Gate, Tere Mere Sapne, Koi... Mil Gaya and has done many TV shows. His actress daughter recently wished him on his birthday with an endearing social media post that read, “Happy birthday to you Appa.....thnx for inculcating te best values of life Nd making me what I m today.so proud to b Ur daughter....Ravi Nd myself wish u a Very happy birthday.lv u Appa.”

Sudha Chandra who is known for her TV shows like Naagin  Bepanah Pyaarr, and many more, spoke about how she coped with the accident years ago where she lost one leg. She mentioned her parents saying, “Somehow we tend to forget the role of our parents in our life. Probably, my parents were the only reason why I decided to keep going in life. Otherwise I had no other reason. There were so many moments after the accident when I felt why am I alive? But when I looked at my parents I would realise that I have to be alive for them to be alive.”
