The President of IMPPA, Abhay Sinha, who has successfully produced many Bhojpuri films, was honoured at the Destination Uttarakhand function by Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dham.

Held on November 7th at Hotel Novotel in Juhu, Mumbai, the event carried the vision of building a bridge for Uttarakhand's tourism through films produced in this beautiful mountainous region. The event was attended by many film producers, along with IMPPA President Abhay Sinha and Senior Vice President Sushama Shiromanee.


At this event, Chief Minister Dhami took a significant step towards the improvement of the Indian Film Industry. According to IMPPA President Abhay Sinha, the Government of Uttarakhand has announced a subsidy of Rs 3 crore for Hindi movies and Rs 2 crore for regional language movies shot in the landscapes of Uttarakhand.

Abhay Sinha expressed his gratitude to Chief Minister Dhami for encouraging filmmakers. He shared that his experience of meeting Chief Minister Dhami was very successful and positive. Sinha also shared his expectation that this meeting would support film production in Uttarakhand. The funding provided by Chief Minister Dhami will undoubtedly help numerous film producers shoot more movies in Uttarakhand. The backdrop of Uttarakhand, including snow-covered Himalayan mountains, picturesque scenery, and breathtaking peaks, provides perfect sets for films. This beautiful state is a significant attraction for filmmakers. With increased government support and subsidy, we expect a rise in movie productions choosing this beautiful state as their filming destination.
