The upcoming Marathi film ‘Y’ has been creating a buzz since it was announced. This is because of it’s unusual title and the audiences are intrigued by the title and it’s significance. Lead actress Mukta Barve explains without giving away too many details, “Y' is not just a letter but a woman's struggle to survive as a human.” 

Recently the Smile Please actress had shared the first look poster of the film and captioned it, “घाबरून मागे हटणारी ती नाही ..

ती च्या लढ्याची गोष्ट ..

Talking about his film, Y’s director Ajit Wadikar said, “There is a big struggle behind the letter 'Y'. We are trying to bring this struggle in front of the audience. This is a true story that is happening today. I did not think of any other actress for this role except Mukta.” 

Y will have a theatrical release on 24th June 2022.
