The upcoming action film Bell Bottom was to release in cinemas on 27th July 2021. The makers had announced this with fanfare sometime time back but since the pandemic situation is still grave, the release has further been pushed. Now the makers of the Akshay Kumar starrer have made the decision of releasing it in 3D. This will be a first for the Baby actor. Speaking on this, film distributor and founder of Pen Studios Jayantilal Gada said, “Bell Bottom was made in 3D only and it will give a uniqueness and fresh perspective to the film. It looks amazing in 3D. When the world reopens, we will have to compete with the international content. There is so much content being made on TV and the digital medium, so why would people go back to theatres? To ensure that, we will have to bring quality films with unique ideas to the theatre.” Bell Bottom also stars Vaani Kapoor and Huma Qureshi. 

Speaking about the film’s release Gada said, “Bell Bottom will be the first Hindi film to hit the theatres. There might be a delay, but it is for sure that this will be the first film to come and I can assure that Indian theatres will reopen with the partnership of Vashu Bhagnani and Pen Studios.” Meanwhile Akshay Kumar also has Sooryavanshi and Atrangi Re, among others awaiting release.
