South director TJ Gnanavel is known to bring stories that are not only hard hitting but also relatable to people of all cultures and communities. His last film Jai Bhim was released in Hindi on Amazon Prime Video and was absolutely loved across audiences of different languages. He is now all set to make his Hindi film debut by bringing the tale of Jeevajothi Santhakumar who fought a case against a powerful restaurant mogul in the South to the big screens. 

The film is titled Dosa King and will be produced by Junglee Pictures, who are known for their exemplary stories and genre defining cinema like Raazi, Badhaai Ho, Talvar, among others. Speaking about the project, TJ said, “I’ve observed the subject closely, following the case during my days as a journalist. I hope to bring out new dimensions through Jeevajothi’s legal battle on screen. Today, directing this project and working on its characters feels surreal. I am excited to begin this journey with Junglee Pictures, which is known for developing some of the most iconic films in contemporary Indian cinema.”

Dosa King will tell the real life tale of Jeevajothi who fought a case against the owner of the largest South Indian restaurant chains in the world. The case went on for 18 long years after which the Supreme Court gave a conviction to the mogul for murdering Jeevajothi’s husband Prince Santhakumar. The casting of the Dosa King is currently underway.
