Surya’s Action fantasy Kanguva Sighs 100cr deal with Prime Videos after acquiring OTT rights for the film for an early release on the occasion of Pongal.

Surya’s Kanguva received a wide release at the theatre the film marking his return to the big screen after two years. The film is all set for its OTT release on Prime Video after the platform brought its digital rights for 100 Cr. The film is scheduled to be screened on the platform on the occasion of Pongal.

Kanguva stars Surya along with Bollywood actor Bobby Deol marking his debut in Tamil films playing the antagonist. The film also stars Disha Patani opposite Surya as his lady love in the film, who also makes her debut in Tamil cinema.

The film has been directed by Siruthai Siva who also makes his directorial debut with the film. The film's music tracks have been composed by Devi Sri Prasad, and Cinematography by Vetri Palanisamy which has received not-so-positive reviews from the audience from pan-India.

The film will stream in South Indian languages likely in 4 weeks. Due to the national Chains agreement the Hindi language streaming of the film may be after 8 weeks due to the national chains agreement.
