Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar’s upcoming film Takht is one of his most ambitious one yet. With a high profile and huge star cast, the film has been in the news for all the right reasons. However there were speculations that the Student Of The Year Director might have shelved the project. But the filmmaker has finally clarified about those rumors saying, “No, I am going to make that movie right after Rocky Aur Rani. I can't let that get away. That film is a piece of my heart. It’s got two and a half years of my prep work on it. Wi were rearing to go. I still remember we were starting on April 24 when the pandemic hit us in March. The film was so vast, voluminous and on a large scale, that on a daily basis, it needed a thousand people on set. It was that kind of film.”

Johar has compared Takht with his 2001 film Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham. The film was announced in 2019 but due to the pandemic soon after never took off. But the Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna director has given million of his fans some hope of the film being finally made. It will star Kareena Kapoor Khan, Alia Bhatt, Ranveer Singh, Vicky Kaushal, Bhumi Pednekar and many more.
