However, as the first weekend of Chandu Champion approached the movie experienced a high on box office collection.

Chandu Champion Opens with ₹4.75 Cr, Sees Significant Weekend Growth with Total Collection of ₹21.75 Cr:

Chandu Champion was released in theatres on 14th June. The movie debuted at the box office with a low collection (₹ 4.75 Cr) and was expected to be picked up on the weekend. On box office collection Day 3, Chandu Champion concluded the total collection at ₹ 21.75 Cr. The first Saturday of Chandu Champion experienced a boost of 47.37% by generating ₹ 7.00 Cr. Yesterday, which was the first Sunday of Chandu Champion collected the highest amount from the last two days which was ₹ 10.00 Cr.

'Chandu Champion' Expected to Maintain Momentum Amidst Tough Competition:

According to speculations Chandu Champion is expected to keep up the high pace at the box office as Monday is a National Holiday. It will be facing tough competition by the much-awaited Kalki 2898 AD starring Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Nag Ashwin and Deepika Padukone. Kalki 2898 AD will hit the theaters on June 27.

Chandu Champion is based on the inspirational life of India's first Paralympic gold medalist in freestyle swimming Murlikant Petkar. Kartik Aaryan has done a phenomenal job as the lead in Chandu Champion. Other than him movie also features Vijay Raaz, Bhuvan Arora and Rajpal Yadav in pivotal roles.

Directed by Kabir Khan, Chandu Champion is jointly produced by Kabir Khan and Sajid Nadiadwala. The movie was released in theatres on 14th June.
