Looks like the trend of remakes will never die down in Bollywood for a long time to come. And why not, we already have such fantastic blockbusters that are screaming to come alive for the new generation. Producer Murad Khetani who earlier got Kabir Singh on the big screens has now purchased the rights to remake the 1988 hit Tezaab that starred Anil Kapoor and Madhuri Dixit in the lead. The remake will of course have a new young cast but will the two veterans also be there in it is yet to be seen. The film at its time was a cult and also featured Chunky Pandey and Mandakini. 

There were a lot of production houses eyeing Tezaab but Murad Khetani bought it at a slight higher price. He has even bought the rights of the Amitabh Bachchan starrer Namak Halaal. The script of Tezaab remake is in works and will have a modern twist but the essence will be preserved. The film will go on floors once he is done with the Kartik Aaryan starrer Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2.
