Veteran actor Anupam Shyam passed away at the age of 63 today morning. The Slumdog Millionaire actor had been suffering from a kidney ailment for a long time and got admitted to a Goregaon hospital four days ago. His condition however deteriorated rapidly and he breather his last today due to multiple organ failure. His two brothers Anurag and Kanchan were by his side in the hospital in his last few hours. His actor friend Yashpal Sharma said, “I got to know that he's no more. So we rushed here & found he was still breathing. The doctor later declared him dead. He was hospitalized for 4 days. He had high blood sugar & used to take injections during shooting of his last film.”

 

Anupam Shyam was an immensely talented actor and had given audiences memorable performances in films like Bandit Queen, Satya", "Dil Se", "Lagaan", "Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi” and was praised for his role as Thakur Sajjan Singh in the popular Television show "Mann Kee Awaaz Pratigya", which aired on Star Plus in 2009.
