Actors and actresses apart from movie shootings and promotions, are also involved in private stage shows and events every now and then. One such actress is Manasi Naik who had to see the bad side of it. The Marathi actress alleges that she was to perform at Ranjangaon near Pune. When the ‘Carry On Deshpande’ actress was talking to the host, one of his friends started to assault her and the former didn’t react or help her. She performed the show but was later threatened by the host’s wife on reaching home. The incident has shaken her up and she has filed a case with the Sakinaka police station.

The host of the private event and an unidentified assailant has been booked under Indian Penal Code 341 (Punishment for wrongful restraint), 354 (Assault or criminal force to women with intent to outrage her modesty) and 506 (Punishment for criminal intimidation). The case is now been investigated. Manasi has been part of movies like Murder Mestri, Dholki, Kutumb and many more.
