There is some great news for Rani Mukerji fans. After the first two instalments of the action thriller Mardaani, in which the actress played the lead, the makers are planning their third. The announcement for the movie is most likely to be made on the lead actress’s birthday which falls on 21st March. The film’s story so far deals with women centric issues and their place in society. The first movie deal with child trafficking and the second with serial rape and murder. The third film too will be based exclusively on women related crime.

Director Gopi Puthran had infact announced that Mardaani 3 will be surely coming out right after the second film was released. He feels no one can play the role of Shivani Shivaji Roy better than Rani Mukerji. The latter meanwhile will also be seen in another sequel by Yash Raj Films titled Bunty Aur Babli 2 opposite Saif Ali Khan.
