While the world was amazed with the bravery of Major Mohit Sharma, who infiltrated Hizbul Mujahideen with the alias Iftikhar Bhatt, his story left a lasting impression on filmmakers. Now Applause Entertainment and Drishyam Films is producing a film based on his life and heroism. The film will be an adaptation from the first chapter of the book ‘India’s Most Fearless 2: More Military Stories of Unimaginable Courage and Sacrifice’ by Shiv Aroor and Rahul Singh.

Major Mohit Sharma was killed in 2009 during a battle with terrorists in the Hafruda forests of Jammu and Kashmir. The brave heart was posthumously awarded the Ashok Chakra. Drishyam Films have produced movies like Dhanak, Masaan and Ankhon Dekhi while Applause Entertainment has backed web series like Scam 1992 and Criminal Justice: Behind Closed Doors.
