Bollywood actress Mrunal Thakur has made a smooth transition from the Television to movies. The talented actress who was last seen in Farhan Akhtar starrer Toofaan will next be seen in the Telugu film Thadam’s Hindi remake. The actress will essay the role of a cop in the film. To play a tough cop, the Love, Sonia actress had to look no further than Bollywood’s well known actress Tabu. The latter too played a cop in the film Drishyam. 

 

Talking about taking inspiration from Tabu’s character, Thakur said that she loved how fierce and feisty her role was. Playing a character in uniform is a huge responsibility and she cannot wait to begin! Co-incidentally, most of Mrunal’s family members belong to the police force except her father. They are either ACP or DC of their areas. This film would help showcase their lifestyle well. The Super 30 actress will however not have any action scenes, but will focus primarily on her body language. The Telugu film’s story revolves around the murder of a young man and is based on true events. Apart from this film, Mrunal will next be seen in the sports drama Jersey opposite Shahid Kapoor.
