On National Cinema Day 2023, Sitara Ghattamaneni, the daughter of the famous actor Mahesh Babu, shared a heartfelt message on Instagram. In a photo that speaks volumes about her family's cinematic legacy, Sitara expresses her pride and gratitude for being a part of the remarkable journey left behind by her grandfather, Krishna. 

In the emotional Instagram post, Sitara shares a picture capturing her grandfather, Krishna Ghattamaneni, her father, Mahesh Babu, her mother, Namrata Shirodkar, and her brother Gautham Ghattamaneni, all together in one frame. She narrates, "CINEMA - a word that holds a very special place in my life and my upbringing. It's not just an industry for me; it's a part of my DNA."

Sitara continues to share the influential role her father and her grandfather have played in shaping her love for cinema. She writes, "My father, a titan of the silver screen, has always been my inspiration, just like his father was to him. My thathagaru, known to the world as the legendary evergreen superstar Krishna, has had such a profound impact and influence on us all. I'm incredibly proud and grateful to be a part of this legacy that he left behind for my father, my brother, and me." 

Sitara concludes her note with a celebration of the magic of cinema and expresses her gratitude to all the individuals who have supported her family's cinematic journey. She includes the hashtag #NationalCinemaDay to mark this special occasion.

National Cinema Day was initiated by the Multiplex Association of India (MAI) in 2022. This day was created to celebrate the reopening of cinema halls after the challenging period of the COVID-19 pandemic. To encourage movie lovers to support cinema hall owners who faced significant losses during the pandemic, the MAI decided to offer substantial discounts on movie tickets on this occasion. 

At the young age of 12, Sitara is already making her mark as a star in the entertainment industry. With over 1.5 million followers on her official Instagram handle, she shares her passion for dancing and often provides glimpses of her talent. Additionally, Sitara has become a brand ambassador for a jewellery brand, showcasing her versatility and potential.

In 2019, Sitara gave voice to the character of Baby Elsa in the Telugu version of the beloved English fantasy movie, Frozen 2. Not only that, but she also collaborates with director Vamsi Paidipally's daughter on a YouTube channel named Aadya & Sitara, which boasts over 280K subscribers.
