Veteran actress Anjana Rahman known for her extensive body of work boasting of around 300 movies, has passed away at the age of 60. Misha Sawdagar, president of the Bangladesh Film Artistes' Association, confirmed Anjana's death.

Rahman was undergoing treatment for a blood infection at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University Hospital. Her health rapidly deteriorated, leading to her passing on Saturday. Anjana was celebrated as one of the country’s finest actresses, particularly for her dancing skills. She was known for her films Parineeta (1986), Bidhata (1989), Bikram (1993) and Protirodh( 1987).

She also starred in 30 films, including Ashikkhito, Rajanigandha, Ashar Alo, Jinjir, Anarkali, Bidhata, Bourani, Sonar Horin, Ram Rahim John, Matir Putul, Shaheb Bibi Golam, Obhijan, and others.
