Television channel Star Bharat has always given it’s viewers quality content. Now a new show is coming up to entertain viewers some more. The show is titled Gud Se Meetha Ishq. The show revolves around a sweet love story of a mountain tourist guide played by a female character named Kaju. She falls in love with a photographer named Neil Khurana. The show also aims at breaking certain stereotypes.

Actress Pankhuri Awasthi who plays the lead role of Kaju said that she took inspiration from Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan for the role. The latter had played a similar role in her film Taal. Pankhuri said, “The title track of the show is very beautiful, and ‘Taal’ is the best in itself. When it comes to dancing to this song in the show, the first one that comes to mind is the famous Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai. Rai. Because no one could have imagined this song better than her.” She added, “Especially when during my recent photoshoot for the show ‘Gud Se Meetha Ishq’ I was shown a picture of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in reference to her Pahari look. So it’s not a stretch to say that she inspired my look. I hope my character will be liked by the audience and people will continue to love my character.”

Gud Se Meetha Ishq also stars Ishaan Dhawan, Meera Deosthale, Peelu Vidyarthi, Vishal Choudhary, Amrapali Gupta and Ananya Khare among others. The show will premiere on Star Bharat on 18th April 2022.
