If you were a 90’s kid then the word Shaktimaan needs no introduction! The 1997 TV show that brought us India’s very own desi superhero was an instant hit and gathered a massive fan base. The lead actor Mukesh Khanna who played the titular role in Shaktimaan is now all set to bring the much loved character in a feature film. He said he had been working on the idea for a while and wanted the logistics to fall in place before making an official announcement. 

Glorifying Shaktimaan, Khanna said, “He is the biggest superhero in the world because of the kind of powers he has, no other superhero has. Shaktimaan will remain the same, things around him will change. It will be made on a higher scale and keeping today’s scenario in mind. Shaktimaan will retain its originality and the essence will not change even in the film.” It is still unclear if Khanna will be a part of the film, but he is one of the producers and is keeping other details under wraps. Sony Pictures will present the film and had made the announcement with a short teaser recently that said, “After the super success of our many superhero films in India and all over the globe, it’s time for our desi Superhero!”
